Amtrak Announces Partnership with SilverRail Technologies
Amtrak is pleased to announce that SilverRail Technologies, Inc. is a certified partner in the global distribution of Amtrak products and services. SilverRail Technologies has assumed responsibility for the Amtrak RailAgent brand of websites from Wandrian, Inc.; including the service, software and application support of the Amtrak RailAgent websites.
Through this new partnership, Amtrak and SilverRail Technologies will leverage existing technologies and provide travel agents, tour operators and corporate accounts with new booking tools, greater functionality and ease of use in selling Amtrak products and services.
What does this mean to you?
No major changes. Amtrak RailAgent will look and work the same as it has looked and worked. Current logins and passwords remain valid and will continue to allow you to book Amtrak online.

What to expect in the future:
Commission Payment Solution: The first new feature is a faster and more efficient commission payment solution integrated with Moneydirect, a leading travel industry payment solution. Starting with the August sales, your commissions will be sent to you by SilverRail Technologies, via Moneydirect if you are located in the following countries: The United States, Canada, The United Kingdom, Australia, New Zealand, France, Argentina, Chile, Mexico, and Venezuela. If you are located in a country not included in the previous sentence, you will continue to receive commission payment via check. A follow-up e-mail to you will provide you with additional details about Money Direct.
Technology: The SilverRail Technologies “Rail API” will be the foundation for future online booking and settlement solutions between Amtrak and the travel trade. This unique platform will allow partners to integrate Amtrak products and services into existing websites and corporate booking tools, as well as allow for the introduction of new and innovative features.
Communication: You can expect regular updates on enhancements, online bookings management, and customer experience improvements.
